jenrgw Will The Cars of the Future Create More Distracted Driving Accidents?

Automakers always have an eye on the future.  Each model year, they try to come up with new ideas and strategies to make their vehicles innovative and exciting.  With that goal in mind, some automakers are designing web connected vehicles.  Businessweek predicts that more than 7 million cars will have integrated wi-fi systems by 2017.

While full connectivity may be desired by consumers, is it a good thing? Given the distracted driving statistics in this country, should car manufacturers be making it easier to check Facebook and send emails?  Is this an inevitable evolution or should those who care about saving others from the pains of distracted driving accidents fight with everything they’ve got to prevent these advancements?
