jenrgw Will Ohio Ban Texting and Driving?

On Wednesday November 16, 2011 a committee in the Ohio Senate heard testimony about proposed distracted driving bill. While some Ohio cities, such as Columbus, have banned texting and driving, the state of Ohio has not yet passed such a law.

The Ohio House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bill that would ban texting and driving earlier this year. Additionally, a AAA survey found that more than 90 of Ohioans support such a law. However, it remains unclear whether the Ohio Senate will pass the bill or even whether a vote will be taken before the end of the year.

What do you think? Should the Ohio Senate take up this matter and ban texting while driving in Ohio?
