jenrgw Was Texting and Driving to Blame for Pedestrian Fatality in Wisconsin?

Just days after the Wisconsin ban on texting and driving went into effect, police began investigating a fatal crash that may have been caused by a driver who was texting and driving.  Police report that Linda Zyduck was killed crossing National Avenue in West Allis last Friday.  The medical examiner’s report indicated that police suspect the driver may have been texting and driving at the time of the accident.  The driver reportedly allowed police to check her phone which showed a recent text had been sent or received and that another text was half written.

The driver is a 19 year old college student.  She was driving with an expired license at the time of this crash.  Police are still investigating last week’s crash and have not yet charged the driver with anything related to Friday’s fatal accident.
