jenrgw Using the Internet While Driving – It is More Common Than You May Think

While texting and talking on hand held cell phones are common forms of distracted driving, it seems that drivers are also engaging in another dangerous activity via their cell phones while driving.

A new study released by State Farm Insurance found that about 1 in 5 drivers access the web while driving.  These drivers may be browsing the internet or checking their email while driving their cars.

The State Farm Study also found that more than 1 out of every 3 drivers text while driving and that about 3 out of 4 drivers talk on their cell phone while driving.

State Farm plans to release a more detailed report on these findings later this year.
