jenrgw Texting Ban Bill Goes to Indiana House of Representatives

Last week, a texting ban bill came out of committee.  It is now headed to the Indiana House of Representatives.  The bill would make it a Class C infraction to text or to send an e-mail from a telecommunications device while driving.  The bill may be amended to coincide whether another pending bill that would make texting and driving a Class D infraction in some cases and a Class C in others.

After the bill passes the House, it must pass the senate and be signed by the governor before becoming law.  We will continue to monitor Indiana texting and driving legislation
