jenrgw Texting and Driving Thought to be Cause of Fatal Crash

The text time stamps on the cell phone of an Asheville man have led authorities to conclude that texting and driving was the cause of a recent fatal crash on Hendersonville Road.  According to authorities, a 21 year old driver sent a text message seconds after 7:21 p.m.   Less than a minute later, at 7:22 an accident witness called 911 to report the crash.

The driver who is accused of texting and driving was killed in the crash. The other driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital and have been released.
