jenrgw Preventing Alabama Teen Driver Distracted Driving Crashes

Last year, Alabama had the second highest number of teen driving deaths in the country (second only to Mississippi).  According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, there are three principal reasons for the high number of teen driving fatalities.  Those reasons include: drunk driving, speeding and distracted driving.

As a parent, there are a few things that you can do to help your teen driver stay safe.  For example, you can set clear rules about the use of cell phones while driving or the number of passengers that your teen may have in the car.  You may also require your teen to take a driver’s education course to learn safe driving habits and techniques before applying for a license.

In short, you can help Alabama lower the number of teen fatalities.  You can help prevent your family from suffering an unimaginable loss.  You can help save your child’s life.
