Last Saturday, the Citizens Traffic Commission of Lower Makefield Township held an Interactive Safe Driving Program at the William Penn Middle School in Yardley.    The program focused on the threats of distracted driving and teen driving.

The program was geared to both parents and teenagers to help them realize the dangers of distracted driving.  Speakers included a representative from State Farm Insurance, the president of the Advantage Driving Academy and an officer from the Lower Makefield Police Department.  The officer conducted interactive simulator activities to drive home the consequences of distracted driving.

The goal  of this program was to make the streets of Lower Makefield safer and to prevent distracted driving accidents in this Pennsylvania community.
