jenrgw Oak Park Illinois Considers a New Kind of Distracted Driving Ordinance

Oak Park officials are currently discussing what is believed to be the first serious suggestion of an eating, drinking and grooming while driving ban in the country.  Officials are trying to prevent distracted driving accidents that may be caused not by new technology but rather by old habits.

As multitasking continues to be commonplace in our fast paced society, people continue to drink their coffee, eat their lunch and even brush their teeth behind the wheel of a car.  Any of these behaviors, and countless others, can be distracting and dangerous.
