jenrgw New York City Firefighter Charged With Texting in Fatal Hit and Run

Last week, prosecutors formally accused a New York City firefighter of texting while driving during a fatal hit and run in October.

The New York Post reports that the firefighter was texting his girlfriend while driving home from work on October 10 when he hit a pedestrian and fled the scene of the accident.  The 25 year old pedestrian was killed in the accident.

The firefighter, Pat Quagliarello has been indicted on many charges ranging from criminally negligent homicide to reckless driving and texting while driving.  Mr. Quagliarello has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
