jenrgw Kent State Student Killed in Tragic Spring Break Accident

Last week, a woman was killed by an alleged distracted driver in Ohio.  The accident occurred on Interstate 71 on March 22.

Investigators say that the driver of a Chevrolet Cargo Van became distracted by a cell phone and lost control of his vehicle which crossed the center median and three lanes of traffic before colliding with a Pontiac that was exiting a rest area.  The driver of the Pontiac, 19 year old Rachael Woodruff was killed.

Officials say that the crash remains under investigation and that charges are pending the prosecutor’s review.  We express our condolences to the woman’s family following this tragic accident.
