A new poll from Harris Interactive and HealthDay looked at the types of non-driving activities Americans most often engage in while driving. The poll found that:

  • 59% of Americans talk on a handheld cell phone while driving.
  • 86% eat and/or drink and drive.
  • 41% set their GPS while driving
  • 37% text and drive.
  • 14% apply make up while driving.
  • 36% read a map and drive.
  • 13% surf the internet and drive.
  • 7% watch videos and drive.
