jenrgw Distracted Bus Driver Sentenced for Deadly 2010 Crash

In February 2010, Frederick Poust III was driving a school bus when it struck a car in front of it and killed a passenger in the car.   The accident happened in front of the Perkiomen Valley Middle School West as 45 students, and others, watched the resulting vehicle fire kill 27 year old Richard Taylor.

According to the police investigation of the crash, Mr. Poust was sleep deprived and talking on his cell phone just before the crash.  He has been sentenced to 11 ½ to 23 months in prison for this Pennsylvania school bus crash.
