jenrgw Could Florida be Next?

Last year, a bill was proposed in Florida that would make it illegal to text and drive. That bill died in committee. This year, a new distracted driving bill has been proposed. However, many believe that it is also unlikely to get out of committee.  Concerns about too much government regulation and how the bill would be enforced seem to be preventing Florida lawmakers from passing a law that would make it illegal to text and drive in Florida despite the potentially fatal consequences.

Can Florida deal with distracted drivers without formal legislation? Please leave a message and let us know your thoughts.
