jenrgw Changes to West Virginia Driver Education

Earlier this month the West Virginia State Board of Education approved changes to driver education in the state.  According to the changes, approved driver’s education programs must now contain information about the use of cell phones, GPS devices and other forms of technology.

The change was recommended to the State Board of Education by teachers last March and was approved because of concern about the number of distracted driving accidents among West Virginia teenagers in recent years.

Do you think this is a good improvement to driver’s education in West Virginia?  Do you think it will help prevent future accidents? Please leave a comment and let us know.
