jenrgw Caught Texting and Driving? Better Check Your Insurance Bill

A recent study by an online auto insurance quote provider found that car insurance premiums are rising because of texting and driving. The study found that both tickets for texting and driving and texting and driving accidents could cause a driver’s insurance rates to increase significantly.  The serious, potentially fatal, consequences of texting accidents make insurers view those who have received tickets as an increased risk despite the fact that they have not caused a crash.

Do you think this is fair? Could the financial implications of a car insurance increase help stop people from texting and driving? Please leave a comment and share your thoughts.
