We are now a few days into National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. This month has been designated to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and to help prevent future accident injuries and fatalities.
How will you help in this effort? How can you help?
Below are some ideas:
• Talk to others about the dangers of distracted driving. Share what you know with your religious organization, school, civil group, scouting group, or other group to which you belong.
• Protect your children. If you have teens then sit down with them and go over the rules for when they are a passenger in someone else’s car and for when they are driving. You would not allow your child to drive with a drunk driver or to drive while intoxicated. Make the same rules apply for distracted driving.
• Pledge to end distracted driving. Let us know that you are ready to make an individual commitment to end distracted driving.
Do you have more ideas about how to raise awareness this month and through the year? If you do, then please leave a comment and share your thoughts.
